This information is specific to schools in Turkey that offer the IBDP in conjunction with the Turkish national high school program.


Turkish IB students who are in the Fen Alanı (science track) generally do not have time in their weekly course program to take a Group 3 subject for the IB diploma. These students are still able to get an IB diploma if we provide the IB with details about each student's program of study, and document the reason for no Group 3 subject. The documentation we use is an English translation of the Aralık 2000-2519 sayılı M.E.B. Tebliğler Dergisi (1161-1164).



A recent change in the guidelines requires the non-regular diploma request to be completed after candidate registration, and no later than 18 months before the exams (15 November of Grade 11).

I still have an outstanding query to the IBO Help Desk about allowing us to use our MS Access database reports, either hardcopy/fax or as data files to upload, instead of the new procedure which requires several tedious steps on IBIS for each candidate.
